We are delighted to announce the expansion of our footprint in Silicon Valley through the launch of the EIT Community Hub in San Francisco.

Created in 2008, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is a unique EU initiative that boosts innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe.

The EIT is a one-stop-shop for innovation, being the single EU instrument that fully integrates business, research and education. It supports the development of dynamic pan-European partnerships, the EIT Innovation Communities (KICs), between leading universities, research organisations, companies and other innovation actors, such as the public sector and NGOs. Together, they develop innovative products and services, start new and scale existing companies, and train a new generation of entrepreneurs.

With the largest innovation ecosystem - more than 1,000 partners - at pan-European level, the EIT Community addresses pressing global challenges in the areas of Climate, Digital, Energy, Food, Health, Manufacturing, Raw Materials and Urban Mobility.

As we are now expanding our collaboration and looking to forge synergies with key innovation ecosystems beyond Europe, we are opening the first EIT Community Hub in the San Francisco Bay Area, building on the existing Silicon Valley Hub of EIT Digital.
