The Alzheimer's Alliance will release around 1,000 monarch butterflies into the Tyler Rose Garden to commemorate persons with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia, as well as their care partners and families. The release features a Mayoral Proclamation by Martin Heines, refreshments compliments of Brookshire Grocery Company and a butterfly house.
Pre-order one or more butterflies in honor or in memory of a loved one, care professional or care giver, click below. Butterflies are $25 each and must be pre-purchased. Butterflies will be distributed during the event at the Tyler Rose Garden on Thursday, October 2 at 1:00 pm. At the check-in table you will have to opportunity to write the names of those you purchased butterflies in honor or in memory of on a lapel sticker to wear during the event.
