GBSF Leader/Reader Workshop

Sunday, February 23, 2020

2020 is a Leap Year! Why not use this “bonus” day to hone your skills as a Great Books discussion leader!

This annual workshop, open to everyone, is your chance to learn methods, to practice techniques, and to get answers to your questions and concerns about leading engaging discussions.

It can also make you a better reader!  Developing your skill as a leader will change you into an active reader. You will approach new material from a different perspective. You will find yourself automatically reading more deeply than before.  It’s a win-win!

The workshop will include reading materials, several friendly practice sessions, tips from veteran leaders, lunch, and lots of time to ask questions.

We will begin at 10 am and end by 4 pm.  Our location this year is in Lafayette, in the Arts & Science Room of the Lafayette Library and Learning Center.  The library is a short walk from the Lafayette BART station, and free parking is available in the library’s garage.

The workshop fee of $40 includes refreshments and a light lunch.
