The seven Silicon Valley Sparkplugs featured in this study are Community Organizer, Adriana Garcia; Silicon Valley De-Bug Founder, Raj Jayadev; InterfaithSpace.org Founder, Rev. D. Andrew Kille, Ph.D.; La Mesa Verde Program Director, Raul Lozano; Bay Area Writer / Producer, Javed Mohammed; The Rast Family, Owners of Roy's Station and John Waszily, a Vietnam War vet and former Director of Goodwill Industries Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program.
Co-hosted by the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, the event will screen mini-documentaries on each "sparkplug." Following the screenings, attendees will engage in a Q&A with our "sparkplug" subjects and participate in a visioning exercise about "community sparkplugging." The documentaries were shot and edited by Emmy Award-winning CreaTV San Jose Producer, Mike Pierce.
Silicon Valley Sparkplugs is a partnership between CreaTV San Jose and San Jose State University, made possible by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
