About the Workshop:    This introductory workshop for psychologists and psychotherapists explores how knowledge of the Enneagram of 9 Personality Types can support communication and understanding, and impact efficacy of psychotherapy.

Learning Objectives:    Attendees will leave with an understanding of the Enneagram of Personality Types and the -

• core issues relating to fear, autonomy and personal value of each type
• core motivations underllying repetitive and dysfunctional behaviours of each type
• treatment methods to loosen these embedded motivations, behaviours and their beliefs

About the Presenter:    Dr. Penny J. Whillans, R. Psych. #1024 is a praciticing psychologist of over 35 years. Her experience includes working in Cardiac Health Psychology, with victims of torture, with individuals with complex PTSD and with complex chronic pain.  She is an author and conducts research on patient presentation in psychotherapy and on treatment using the Enneagram as one of her guidelines. She is the founder and director of the Canadian Institute for Enneagram Studies (CIES) and is an accredited teacher and facilitator with the International Enneagram Association.
