 Documentation:
What Every Advocate Needs to Know

Thursday April 5, 2018

Proper documentation is essential when working with survivors of domestic violence. This training assists advocates by providing a greater understanding of how to approach thoughtful, trauma-informed documentation. Topics include the risks of documenting too much or too little for survivors with mental health issues and how confidentiality in documentation can help or hurt a survivor in court. Interactive exercises allow participants to identify potentially harmful documentation and demonstrate how documentation can effectively support survivors.
