This workshop will highlight the behavioral, emotional, and cognitive impact of trauma experiences by reviewing long-term stress reactions within the context of trauma, domestic violence, grief, and loss. Advocates will participate in scenarios practicing how to reframe feelings, thoughts, and behaviors within a trauma reframe work. This approach offers hope and understanding to parents and youth victimized by domestic violence. Highlights include trauma-informed practices, dos, and don'ts, providing emotional and physical safety, and exploring your bias and expectations in your service.  

Noteworthy: Please join with the expectation of participating and talking with one another, risking thoughts, trying ideas during role-play and scenarios, and breaking into small group work over Zoom. If you participate and wish to receive CEUs, you will need to demonstrate your participation with cameras on, engage in conversation, and actively participate in small group work.
