The 2018 Big Money Meet Fundraiser

The Big Money Meet Fundraiser is a USAW sanctioned weightlifting competition in historic downtown Bethlehem. 50% of the profit from this meet will go directly back to the top 3 male and 3 female lifters. We plan on doing a 50-30-20 split between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively. We are guaranteeing a minimum of $500 to go the top male and top female athletes, $300 to second place, & $200 for 3rd place. Any registrations beyond 61 lifters and all additional profit from raffles, food, and the shirts will increase the total amount given to the lifters. We will also seek out sponsorships from local businesses to put towards the total money.

This event is open to youth, junior, senior, and master ages, and novice lifters. Join the Lehigh Valley Barbell Facebook page for updates regarding sponsors and prizes. Also check out our website for more details. There are no refunds, so please be sure  you can attend.

This event is free for spectators but we will encourage you to donate some money to help increase the money that goes back to the lifters and our nonprofit. Our Facebook page will have a livestream and we will have a ton of food, as usual. Please come and cheer on your friends, family, and peers.

We reserve the right to close individual sessions and/ or change times of sessions as we deem necessary to run a successful meet.

Tentative schedule until registration is closed. This may change based on registrations.:

Saturday: Everyone will lift on Saturday. We will arrange sessions based on entry totals.
