United Way of Racine County and NAMI Racine County are partnering to help destigmatize mental illness. Join us for the Ending the Silence virtual event May 10 from noon to 1 p.m. with speakers Sheri Hess, program coordinator for NAMI Racine, and Vishal Patel, student intern from Carthage College.
The Ending the Silence presentation series promotes early indentification and intervention and gives a human face to mental illness. Presenters will share informative content as well as provide insight from a young adult with a mental health condition discussing their journey of recovery. By providing a realistic view of recovery and starting a dialogue, Ending the Silence promotes a secure discussion and encourages transparency around the discussion of mental illness. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end stigma.
