In complex water intrusion claims, the evapotranspiration phenomenon within building envelope cavities can create confusing damage patterns that can implicate multiple building envelope trades. Accordingly, all building envelope trades, product manufacturers and the General Contractor are typically named in the resultant lawsuit.
In cases where these phenomena have occurred, the information presented will alert the defense lawyer to the unique damage patterns created and provide a plausible defense by identifying the appropriate responsible party.
