They will each give a brief presentation, answer some general questions and then we will open it up to your questions. They will be discussing both State and Federal tax issues, in order to cover all your tax questions and concerns.

Speaker Biography:
Katie Lawson is the Managing Partner at The Law Office of Katie A. Lawson, PLLC. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Accounting. Katie attended NC Central Law School where she rediscovered her first true love, taxation. After completing law school, Katie went on to get her Masters of Law in Taxation at University of Washington Law School and began her legal career in 2008 practicing tax and corporate law.
Her passion is helping to create and grow small businesses to their full potential. She regularly conducts seminars, in collaboration with the IRS and local Community Colleges, to educate small businesses and individuals about tax and corporate matters. The focus of her practice is to provide tailor-made, targeted solutions for tax and corporate needs.
Rhonda High is a Customer Education Officer at the North Carolina Department of Revenue. She has been with the NC Department of Revenue since 2003, initially as a Revenue Field Auditor. Now, as a Customer Education Officer, she travels throughout the state assisting taxpayers by providing information on tax law updates and general tax law information as it pertains to North Carolina residents.
Mrs. High is a Texas native, who graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. In 2012, she earned her MBA from Strayer University.
