Drew R. Chronister, MD earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005, after graduating with honors from Harvard University in 2001. He completed his internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He then entered the ophthalmology residency program at the UPMC Eye Center, one of the most acclaimed ophthalmology residency programs in the country. At UPMC, Dr. Chronister achieved the honor of being chosen Chief Resident. He has also won awards for teaching and demonstrating the highest quality of patient care.

His clinical interests include Cataract Surgery, Diabetic Eye Disease, the treatment of Macular Degeneration, Uveitis, Dry Eye and the medical and laser treatment of Glaucoma. Dr. Chronister also lectures and provides seminars throughout the state on various eye care related topics. In addition, he is developing a teaching and training focus for new eye care professionals in their residency program.

Social Media, Body Image & Eating Disorders

Michael Pertschuk, MD, Medical Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Brandywine Hospital  has over two decades of experience managing inpatient, residential, and partial hospital treatment programs for eating disorders.  Dr. Pertschuk completed his undergraduate education at Yale University and earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania.  He has served on the medical faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.  He is the author of numerous research articles.  He has been especially interested on the interface of psychiatric and medical issues as well as the psychology of appearance and body image.  His clinical focus has been on eating disorders throughout his career and he has directed inpatient, residential and partial hospital programs. Dr. Pertschuk has appeared on Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Dr. Oz Show.

Michael Thomas, Psy.D. is a therapist within the Eating Disorders Program at Brandywine Hospital specializing in individual, group, and family therapy with individuals suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. He developed and coordinates the practicum training program at Brandywine Hospital; this is a didactic and experiential program that educates students from graduate counseling programs in treating eating disorders patients. Michael has also facilitated many eating disorder seminars for students within school districts, universities, and hospitals. Along with his work at Brandywine Hospital, Michael serves as an Assistant Professor within the Eastern University Psychology Department where he teaches courses on adolescent psychology and psychological testing. Michael is an alumnus of Regent University where he obtained a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology.

George Henry, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Henry brings his extensive medical expertise & high energy level to the Women's Center OB/GYN practice when he opened the practice more than 11 years ago. Dr. Henry is on staff at Brandywine Hospital, and is an advanced robotic surgeon. A graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he served his OB/GYN residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Prior to pursuing his medical education, Dr. Henry was a research chemist at E.I. DuPont Nemours in Deepwater, New Jersey.

Adrienne MacKenzie is a driven, energetic, and compassionate speaker.  Her charismatic personality helps her deliver exciting, down to earth messages, which inspire and drive others to seek happiness in their lives.  Her positive teaching style is also effective in the workplace.  She specializes in team building sessions and helps businesses work through their "clutter."  Adrienne brings the power of positive back into the workplace and can customize sessions to fit your specific needs.   She presents fun, interactive presentations and covers  topics such as: determining the personality styles of your team, change/transition, what employees "really" want, a boss vs. a leader, motivating teams, excellent customer service,  and much more.

She is the president and founder of MacKenzie Motivational Speaking & Team Building and has almost 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations, speaking, and practice management consulting.  She is also the president-elect of the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce, developed and chairs S.P.E.A.K. (Supporting our Peers and Encouraging Articulate Keynoters), and serves on the Healthy Woman Advisory Council at Brandywine Hospital.

Keeping (Portion) Control

Adrien Trevisan is a Registered Dietitian at Brandywine Hospital, working with the inpatient population as well as bariatric outpatients.  While her background is in eating disorders, Adrien is enjoying working with a wider array of patients at Brandywine, and the valuable relationships that can be found in a community hospital.  Adrien has a B.A. in Psychology from University of Delaware and a B.S. in Nutrition from West Chester University, and will begin working towards a Masters in Public Health in Healthcare Management at West Chester University in January.  In addition, she is in the process of obtaining a Certification for Speciality in Pediatrics.  For questions regarding nutrition or adopting a healthier lifestyle, please contact Adrien at (610) 383-8084.
