How do I register myself?

Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and fill out the online the registration form (1 person per registration, using a unique email address)

How do I register someone else?

Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and fill out the online the registration form using the unique email address of the attendee.

All emails will go to the email address used to register (which must be the attendee's unique email address); this includes a registration confirmation email and a payment receipt if you pay online by credit card.

Can I register a group of people together?

No, everyone must register individually online using their own unique email address.

You must register only 1 attendee at a time through the online form, using their unique email address.

If you are paying by check, you can write 1 check for multiple attendees, but be sure to indicate each attendee the check pays for - this is very important! See below for how to pay by check.

How do I pay?

Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and the registration form will ask you whether you are paying by credit card or by check.

• If you indicate credit card, it will prompt you to enter your card information via the WePay platform.
• If you pay by check, make checks payable to AAWCC Oregon; please include a note of which attendee(s) the check pays for (this is very important!); mail both the check and the note of who it pays for, to:

Receipts and Confirmation Emails?

Upon registering, you will automatically receive a confirmation email at the email address you entered during registration.

If you pay by credit card, you will automatically receive a payment receipt by email, at the email address you entered during registration.

If not, email Heather.White@mhcc.edu

If you are a college employee who needs receipts for people you paid for, email  Heather.White@mhcc.edu and she'll get them for you.

Refund Policy:  

We will offer refunds for Early Bird registrations only, within 72 HOURS of the timestamp of the Early Bird registration. Otherwise, we do not offer refunds. We welcome you to substitute a different person for a paid registration, but make sure to let Heather.White@mhcc.edu know, so she can change the name on the registration and arrange for a nametag for the new attendee. Thanks!

How do I change my payment method?

If you have already registered but need to change your payment method, email heather.white@mhcc.edu and she will work with you on this.

How do I apply for a Scholarship?

Check with your state chapter or local community college chapter for scholarship opportunities. You can likely find the info on their website.

Hotel Room Reservations & Discount Code

Our conference will be held at the Lloyd Center Double Tree Inn, in Portland, Oregon: 1000 NE Multnomah Street, Portland, OR 97232

Deadline for Discounted Rooms is October 5^th

Phone Reservations: If you want to make reservations by phone, call the hotel directly at 503-281-6111, tell them you are attending the AAWCC National Conference, and give them the Group Code: AAW. This will get you the discounted room block prices

Hotel Parking fees?

Parking - Overnight Hotel Guests, $5/night

The AAWCC group has discounted parking. When overnight guests check in with the hotel you will be asked if you will be utilizing the parking garage: if the answer is "yes" then your room key, which is also used for the garage will be coded to charge the discounted rate of $5.00 per night. 

 Parking - Conference Only / Day Guests, $3/day

If you are just coming for the conference and not staying overnight at the DoubleTree, drive into the hotel parking garage and take the parking ticket the machine gives you. When you walk into the conference, stop by the AAWCC Conference Registration Desk to pick up a parking voucher from us. When you leave the garage, first insert the original parking stub you got when you parked and the machine will display the regular parking fee - THEN insert the discount voucher and the machine will change the fee to $3.00. Note: you'll need a fresh voucher for each day you park in the garage--you can get this from the Registration desk or ask a Board member for help.

Will there be food?

Yes, We’ll provide breakfast and lunch Thursday 10/27 and Friday 10/28. Dinner is on your own.

Why am I getting emails asking me to register, even though I already registered?

When we send bulk registration emails, we send them to the general AAWCC membership list. So this includes absolutely everyone on that email list, regardless of whether or not they've already registered. As long as you got the auto-confirmation email confirming your registration, you can rest assured that your registration was processed. If you have any doubts, just email Heather.White@mhcc.edu and she'll be happy to look you up in the system and confirm.

Evening Festivities

Wednesday Evening, 10/26, 7-8:30pm: Welcome Reception

 Please join members of the National and Oregon AAWCC Boards in the Governor's Suite of the DoubleTree Hotel for a welcome reception. Meet other conference attendees for a bite to eat and drink and get ready for a wonderful event! We'll have a registration table set up if you'd like to check in and get your name tag and conference program early. You can also pick them up Thursday morning. 

Thursday Evening, 10/27, 7:30-9pm: Painting Party!

Plan to spend the evening on Thursday with your colleagues from across the nation in a creative and fun way. Reps from Bottle and Bottega will be bringing their creative artists to teach participants to paint in one evening. The image chosen for this event goes hand in hand with the conference's bridge theme and location. Bridging the Leadership Gap in Bridgetown! You will have an opportunity to paint Portland's Fremont Bridge at sunset. Note: There is an additional fee and registration required for this activity--please register and pay online here.
