Provincial Synod and
General Convention Orientation 

Provincial Delegates and General Convention Deputies are invited to gather at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Marlboro MA for the combined Provincial Synod and General Convention Orientation April 17-18, 2015. The draft schedule is:

FRIDAY APRIL 17 beginning at noon

• Open SPRING SYNOD with Prayer, Lunch and President’s welcome
• Presiding Bishop's Address - The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori
• President’s Report - The Rev. Sandra Stayner
• Executive Council Reps Report - Anne Watkins and The Rev. Tanya Wallace
• Treasurer’s Report – Steve Smith 
• Executive Director’s Report - Julie Lytle, PhD
• Q/A
• BREAK 
• Nominees for Spring Elections: Vice President, Lay Executive Council Rep
• Announce New Executive Committee Members - President – Steve Lane – transition from VP to Pres at end of first 3 yr term, and Treasurer, appointed by Pres and Vice Pres
• United Thank Offering
• Episcopal Church Women
• Presentation of Resolutions and Discussion which likely includes PLC Provincial Coordination, CT Baptismal Covenant, Divest – Reinvest, and Budget
• Vote On Resolutions To Send From Province
• Conclude Provincial Synod

A block of rooms are being held until March 17 at the Holiday Inn and Suites for the rate of $109 (double or single).  This rate includes a hot breakfast buffet, complimentary wireless Internet access, an indoor pool, fitness center, and business center.  Individuals can make reservations by calling the hotel (508-481-3000) and identifying either the Episcopal Province of New England or block EPI. Deputation Coordinators can register groups by calling the hotel and asking for Lorraine St Onge or emailing her at lst.onge@midlandhc.com. PLEASE CONTACT THE HOTEL OR LORRAINE NO LATER THAN MARCH 17.
