Hydraulic Trailer Safety Training Class
Kellie Crete of Gowrie Group and John Medeiros of Brownell Trailers are jointly offering a Hydraulic Trailer Safety Training Class on Friday June 21st. This class is designed to teach new and seasoned marine employees the proper methods of safely moving boats and using hydraulic trailers. The three-hour class will include classroom training and hands-on training.
The Classroom Training portion will be led by Gowrie Group’s Safety & Loss Control Manager, Kellie Crete. Kellie has more than 25 years of experience in safety and loss control, and specializes in advising the marine industry. Primary topics covered will include:
· OSHA regulations related to trailers
· Operator requirements
· Accident prevention
· Equipment inspection checklists
The Hands-on Training portion of the course will be conducted by John Medeiros, President of Brownell Trailers. John will review boatlifting, blocking, lift planning, and rigging considerations. Students will work with Brownell trailers during this section of the class to practice real life safety scenarios.
