History Mosaic with Jean Perry continues ...

Join a history discussion group where each attendee brings some information to share with the group about the subject.

Mondays from 3 - 5 PM:

October 14 - Lives of Their Own - Caroline Bird has written a book about women creating new lives for themselves in the last quarter of their lives. Do you know women who have started something new, (a career, a new hobby, etc.) after 55 or 60? Is that person you?

November 11 - Republican Motherhood. Following the American Revolution, society gave mothers the responsibility of training young boys and men in their civics lessons:  their obligation to the country. What changes happened for women and girls because they had that responsibility? How did they learn to become those teachers? How did that impact the women and the society?
