The High Museum of Art, Alliance Française d'Atlanta & the German Cultural Center invite you to their next Lecture:
"Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera: their French & German Connections"
The Chief Curator and Director of Collection and Exhibitions of the High Museum, David Brenneman, will give an introduction about the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera exhibition, which is currently on display. It will also discuss individual Rivera and Kahlo works of art that are in the exhibition along with some background information about the artists, their lives, and the social, historical, and political context in which they worked and their connections with France and Germany.

David Brenneman has been the Frances B. Bunzl Family Curator of European Art at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, since 1995. In 2006, he was appointed Director of Collections and Exhibitions while retaining the responsabilities as Chief Curartor and Curator of European Art.
He has organized and managed numerous loan exhibitions. He was managing curator of the High Museum's three-year collaboration with the Musée de Louvre, for which he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, one of France's highest cultural honors, in 2008.
Brenneman received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his Ph.D. in art history from Brown University.
