Eufaula Spillway Bridge Replacement Tour

We will meet at the Memorial Overlook Pavilion at 11:30a for lunch and announcement. At noon we will drive to the laydown mockup area for a quick project presentation and safety brief, then drive to and park on the bridge. It is approximately a ½ mile walk from there to the starting point of the tour. The tour will include stairs. Required PPE includes a hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vests and safety shoes. A few extra hard hats, safety glasses and reflective vests will be on hand if you are unable to provide your own. Please contact Clif Warren by Sept. 15 if you need any of these items.Masks are encouraged if you cannot maintain a 6’ distance. If you feel sick, please stay home.

Directions: Memorial Overlook/Eufala Spillway Bridge, southwest of Porum, OK.  

• Take OK-51 E/US-64 (BA Expressway) east.
• Continue onto OK-351 (Muskogee Turnpike)
• Take Exit 56A to merge onto I-40 West toward OKC
• Take exit 278 toward OK-2/US-266 West
• Turn left onto OK-2 S/US-266 W
• Turn right onto OK-9 W
• Turn right onto OK-71 N
• South on Hwy 2 from City of Porum to City of Whitfield (Hwy 9)
• Turn West at Hwy 9 to Hwy 71
• Turn North on Hwy 71
• Head 5-7 miles to dam.
• Turn right on E BK 100 Street (There is a large brown USACE sign that marks the Memorial Overlook)
