Building Resilience with Families Impacted by Domestic Violence

Through knowledge and skill building activities, participants will be able to:

  • Identify our role in building resilience with families impacted by domestic violence
  • Provide practical tools to foster a healthy parent-child connection amongst families impacted by domestic violence
  • Increase our capacity to support survivors as parents
  • Understand how family-centered services help promote recovery and resilience
  • Understand how families’ trauma responses affect our work as advocates

This FREE training will be presented by Susan Blumenfeld, MSW, LCSW, Child Trauma Training Director, National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma & Mental Health, along with Melissa Ruth, MS, LCPC, Project Director, Alliance to Expand Services for Children Exposed to Domestic Violence, Idaho Coalition, funded in part by a grant from the Saint Alphonsus foundation.
