A Celebration of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty

The purpose of this evening is to be energized and inspired by the vision of classical Christian education as it continues to spread both here in southern Texas and worldwide. Currently there are well over 250 classical Christian schools throughout the world in locations such as Iraq, Indonesia, and Africa, with the majority located in the United States. We also desire to raise up new friends and supporters of this vital ministry to our children here in Corpus Christi. 

These children and their families continue to be deeply impacted year after year as they are molded into our future Christian leaders through the classical Christian education they receive at Annapolis Christian Academy.

Who should attend?
If you believe in the importance of Christian education and the role it plays in Corpus Christi and the culture at large, you should attend.

If you have heard about classical Christian education and want to learn more about its role in shaping entire civilizations including the founding of these United States of America, you should attend.

Who is the speaker and what significance does he play with Annapolis?

Douglas Wilson is one of the fathers of the Protestant classical Christian school movement. He is a popular speaker and author who helped found Logos School in Moscow, Idaho, as well as the Association for Classical Christian Schools, and New Saint Andrews College. He is pastor of Christ Church, editor of a Christian magazine, and a Senior Fellow at New Saint Andrews College. 

He is a prolific writer and the author of many books, including The Case for Classical Christian Education, Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning, Future Men, Letter from a Christian Citizen, Reforming Marriage, and most recently Father Hunger.

The original founders of Annapolis Christian Academy in the early 1990's read Wilson's book Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning- it was one of several key books and essays that the Lord used to move them to explore starting a classical Christian school here in Corpus Christi, Texas.  This will mark the first time Doug Wilson has visited Corpus Christi since the founders first read his book nearly 20 years ago!

Douglas Wilson lives in Moscow, Idaho with his wife Nancy.  They have 3 children and are surrounded by over 15 grandchildren.  He has an MA and BA in philosophy and BA in classical studies.
