"Magic Touch" - An introduction to Silk Painting

"Magic Touch" boards are a great way to try silk painting for the first time! Children & Adults will enjoy this creative experience.

You can schedule this class to suit your needs or the needs of your group or organization.

These 81/2" x 12" boards can be painted in a free form water color style, or the traditional silk painting method (“serti” style) of applying a resist to draw & outline a design, then fill in the shapes with color. It is fun to blend your colors directly on the board & watch the colors flow! 

Traditional silk painters stretch the fabric on a frame for painting. It can also be adhered onto freezer paper to stabilize the silk before painting.  These boards take away all the prep work so you can start painting right away!

Doodles, zentangles, abstracts, & landscapes are fun subject matters. Exploring the flow of color & textures is pure joy. As Marjorie always says,"It's like painting on Air"
