LIVING WELL Magazine expands to Johnson County in the Greater Kansas City Metro

Shawnee Mission, Kansas—A new magazine, with a very special focus has arrived in the greater Kansas City metro. LIVING WELL Magazine is debuting its Johnson County edition by April of 2012 with plans to launch future editions in Jackson County and The Northland.

Stephen Bright joined LIVING WELL Magazine as the Publisher of these new editions in the greater Kansas City metro in January, 2012. Bright, who is a Certified Senior Advisor, has strong ties to the greater Kansas City metro, especially Johnson County, where he resides. “You just can’t beat the quality of people here and the sense of community…it just felt like home immediately,” Bright stated after moving to the greater Kansas City metro fifteen years ago from Iowa.

Bright, who has always dreamt of starting his own magazine since college when he was studying mass communication before settling on a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, is already a successful business owner, operating several Comfort Keepers home care franchises for the last eleven years throughout the greater Kansas City Metro. Bright is joined by his mother, Linda Ahlhelm, who oversees Axiom Home Health Care a Kansas licensed Home Health Agency. Together, they have provided services for almost 3200 seniors. “Our goal has always been to wake up every day knowing we make our living by making a difference in the lives of those we serve.” Immediately prior to Comfort Keepers, Bright worked for an elder law attorney and several long-term care facilities. He is also currently the President of MoKan SR Alliance, a professional services group for healthcare professionals serving seniors in both Johnson County, KS and Jackson County, MO.

With first-hand experience caring for loved-ones and seeing the importance of proper planning and education regarding healthcare, I was instantly drawn to LIVING WELL’s focus on helping to educate the baby-boomer and senior population,” says Bright, who also hosts educational symposiums and workshops almost monthly for both the general public and healthcare professionals seeking continuing education credits. “I aim to utilize my talents and connections to bring the best local resources together in one place: LIVING WELL Magazine.” he states, “It is a privilege to help educate my own community on healthcare, finance, legal, aging and lifestyle topics that are of interest to those who live right here in my own back yard.

Johnson County LIVING WELL Magazine, in addition to being direct mailed to over 14,000 thriving adults 47 and older, may be picked up in multiple locations throughout the community. The magazines print 3 times annually and will be easy to find in their own special tabletop or freestanding floor racks. Complimentary subscriptions are also available by subscribing at www.LivingWellmag.com . SENIOR Magazine, Inc., the parent publishing company of Johnson County LIVING WELL Magazine, is in its 7th year of successfully publishing. With the addition of Johnson County LIVING WELL Magazine, the publications reach 18 local communities in 11 states, including: Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas & Utah.

Potential Advertisers Note: Special discounted launch specials will be available between Jan. 25-Feb. 16 including the night of the open house between 3-8 PM. A quiet private area will be set aside for you to meet with one of the new advertising staff, the publications coordinator, business office coordinator or publisher. Our Media Kits are now available and include rates for full exclusivity in your field of specialty.
