Calling all current business owners and entrepreneurs.

SBA and AARP have formed a strategic alliance to introduce existing and future Encore Entrepreneurs to resources that will help them start and grow a business.

Together, SBA and AARP will host this Lunch and Learn event for National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day to link entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs with community resources to help solve their most critical business needs.

One in four Americans between the ages 44 and 70 is interested in starting a business or nonprofit venture in the next five to 10 years. Nearly half of these aspiring entrepreneurs reported a desire to be “Encore Entrepreneurs,” starting a business with a positive social impact.

For many Baby Boomers, entrepreneurship training is the toolkit that empowers them to use their experience, knowledge, and skills to become job creators.

SBA and AARP have partnered with SCORE (formerly the Service Corps of Retired Executives) to provide a workshop designed to help small businesses not only survive but thrive in the current economy.

We will address your most pressing needs, whether they be money or customer attraction and conversion, and discover who and what is available to assist you in pushing that rock uphill.

You will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a mentor to discuss your unique situation and network with other small businesses who are facing similar challenges.

And you will take home “actionable information” whether you are stumped over a current situation your business is facing, or you want to start the process of business formation.
