Why You Should Have a LinkedIn Profile
If you are a business professional and sell to (or buy from) another business professional, a LinkedIn Profile is a must. LinkedIn has increasingly become the place to see and be seen online when it comes to business networking and recruitment*. With its high level of search engine optimization, your LinkedIn profile can be found by most who conduct a web search on you. Here is why you should create and optimize your LinkedIn Profile:

  1. You get to tell your own professional story.
  2. You are more easily recruited*.
  3. You can find the right person at a potential customer to make a sales call
  4. It is a tool for managing your internet reputation (your Professional Brand) – gather and display recommendations; become an expert.
* According to CNET News, 93% of recruiters actually leverage LinkedIn to find candidates and learn more about them (ahead of Facebook which is at 66%).
