Online and Web Presence for your Small Business – 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

In this course you will learn how to align your business objectives with your online and marketing plans. Identify your target audience, research your competitors online and choose the right type of website for your particular business. Explore the options of building your own website vs. hiring a professional, the required steps for setting up online (domain, webhost, etc) and what type of online marketing promotion tools are available through email marketing, social media, etc. Most importantly, learn how to measure the results and avoid some common pitfalls.

Blogging for Beginners – 11:30AM - 12:30PM

Blogging has changed how small businesses can reach and engage their customers. It can allow you to showcase your passion and knowledge, invite feedback, improve your search engine optimization strategy and even generate leads. We will explore why blogging for business is important, how to define goals for your blog, deciding where to host a blog and how to pick a platform. We will talk about scheduling posts, designing the blog and developing a content strategy.
