Meaningful volunteer leadership continues to distinguish institutions that are most effective in their development and advancement programs.  This fundamental ingredient for success begins with the Board of Trustees, and flows to other volunteer groups that provide important work on the campus – the Advancement Committee, Major Gifts Committee, Campaign Cabinet, Planned Giving Advisory Committee, Alumni Relations Committee, Parents Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Annual Fund Committee, and special task forces, to name a few.

Your Faculty:

Calvin H. Stoney, Gonser Gerber partner, has served educational institutions for more than 30 years through leadership and counsel with Boards of Trustees, annual, capital, major and planned gift programs, admissions programs, utilization of volunteers, strategic planning, public relations, marketing, and communications. He also held positions at Marquette University, Lawrence University and Vanderbilt University.

Jason McNeal, Ph.D., Gonser Gerber partner, has provided advancement leadership to non-profit organizations for 15 years.  Having served as the chief advancement officer at East Georgia College and Maryville College (TN), he also has consulted with institutions throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Dr. McNeal has written extensively on key issues in non-profit fundraising and leadership including the blog "The Far Edge of Promise" at http://www.jasonmcneal.com.
