With the growing number of all-glazed building designs and the tightening of energy codes and standards, the question for many in the building industry has become, "How can we get the look we want AND meet thermal performance goals with these systems?" This talk will go over what can be expected for the thermal resistance of glazing system spandrels and what approaches can improve (or diminish) that performance. This includes strategies in system design and in construction detailing with regards to transitions with other building components.
