Our session will be held in the lovely Stepping Stone Lodge, home of many activities at Touchstone Farm. This historic venue supports the Farm's mission of a strong commitment to offering educational events that help people and animals. Stepping Stone Lodge stands poised to offer a place for people to expand in their own wellbeing.
Melissa attended Wilson College with a major in veterinary technician medicine, earning a scholarship that resulted from her community service done for animals in Monadnock region. She worked 15 years as a surgery tech at a animal hospital, and has been teaching and training dogs for 16 years. In 2004, she started ColdSprings Farm and has been donating and placing pups to working homes ever since. There are countless success stories of life-altering outcomes that have resulted from Melissa's work with dogs and people.
How do the dogs fit in?
Animals have an extraordinary level of inituition and can help us learn things about ourselves that we may not see as easily on our own. These highly trained and experienced therapy dogs provide a safe and inviting atmosphere for which we can learn and see our own behavioral traits. Prior experience with dogs is definitely not needed in order to fully benefit from this workshop.
Preparation for the day
In preparation for this exciting day of learning, you will be asked to complete an online assessment prior to attending.
The Profiles Performance Indicator will provide a wealth of personal information that allows you to have a complete understanding of your leadership style. The assessment takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. In addition to reviewing the results the day of the training, you will receive detailed reports and support materials so this information will continue to be valuable long after the workshop.
Please note that full refunds will only be honored if communicated prior to the assessment completion AND one week before event. If assessment is completed and you cannot attend, you will receive all the reports, but we are unable to issue a refund.
