Gifts of the Dark Wood: A Lenten TNL Book Study
Join us on a Lenten journey through the Dark Wood as we explore together Eric Elnes’ book, Gifts of the Dark Wood: Seven Blessings for Soulful Skeptics and Other Wanderers.
Though commonly understood as a place to be feared and avoided, the Dark Wood is the surest place to meet God. It is a place where you may feel uncertain, empty, lost and alone. Yet these feelings can be your greatest assets on your journey because they invite you to probe, question, and discover.
The class will gather at 6 pm for a light meal, followed by a brief overview of the weekly chapter. Attendees will then have the opportunity to choose their own “rest stop” on the journey.
There will be a place for conversation, a place for creativity, and a place for contemplation. You may visit a different place each week, or return to the same one again and again. It’s up to you and where you are on your journey each week:
Tuition is $20, including class materials. RSVP for free childcare one week in advance to Natasha Ulack, Director of Children’s Ministries, at natashaulack@gmail.com.
