Lunch & Learn with David Love: How to Ask for Money without Throwing up!

We know face-to-face asking is the most effective method of raising funds.  So why does the thought of asking for money make both novice and experienced fundraisers want to throw-up.

Join us for a practical, hands-on and fun (yes, fun) session to build your confidence when Asking for the Money. We will include practical tips and strategies when preparing to meet with prospects, approaching prospective donors, and eventually making the ask.

Learning Outcomes:

  • You'll learn the key elements critical to every ask as well as what not to say and do during a solicitation
  • Does no really mean no?
  • Explore how your childhood is impacting your ability to make the ‘ask’
  • You’ll build confidence in your ability to invite, not ask, others to make our community better through making a major gift to your organization.

Who should attend:

This is vital professional development to increase the likelihood of success in your major gift fundraising, and critical training for anyone planning a capital campaign.
