Starting a Business: What You Need to Know

If you are thinking about starting a new business or have recently started one, this is a valuable workshop for you. Starting a Business:What You Need to Know provides a very realistic picture of what challenges, demands and rewards you can expect as a new entrepreneur.

In just 2 hours, you will gain a clearer understanding of the basic requirements for a start-up business, as well as actions that are simply smart to do. This workshop includes how to evaluate your business idea, plus marketing and branding techniques that will propel your business forward.  You’ll also hear how SCORE can help you succeed in your new venture.

What You Will Learn

  • The various management hats you will need to wear
  • The major causes of business failures
  • The smart way to research your competition
  • Ways to improve your chance of success

Plus, you’ll leave with a checklist of the things you need to think about and do to be successful at establishing your business. This will be helpful to ensure a productive session with a SCORE Mentor.

The presenter's insight and skill are spectacular! This presentation and presenter gave a fresh approach to make starting a business easy to understand.  - Gregory C.
