Overview: This presentation on APGS will provide a general presentation on the latest APGS offerings and options as well as recent trends in the industry to shared private and public parking supply and some project examples.

Overview: Find out what the City of Las Vegas is doing to bring some order to the chaos created by rideshare in the downtown core.  The City of Las Vegas has embraced the Smart Cities movement and part of that initiative is looking at how to apply technology to the curb and off-street staging areas to get rideshare drivers off the streets when they aren’t carrying passengers.  This case study will start with a description of the city’s data-gathering pilot program for managing the curb manually and will report on the technology custom developed to replace the humans needed to control the curb as well as create an off-street staging area for rideshare drivers.  Attendees will learn what drives rideshare congestion and will take away effective tools for applying technology and policy in both on-street and off-street environments aimed at reducing rideshare-created congestion.

Conflict Resolution This course provides attendees with concepts related to workplace conflict. Topics include sources of workplace conflict, personal motivations that contribute to conflict, and an assessment of attendees’ personal communication style as it relates to conflict.

Learning Objectives for Conflict Resolution: In this course, attendees will learn how to:

  • Examine the four sources of workplace conflict.
  • Evaluate personal conflict style by completing, analyzing, and assessment.
  • Recognize tools for effective communications with co-workers.
  • Explore how the five stages of group development affect conflict and workplace needs.

Strategic Process Development

This is an interactive course designed to help participants think strategically about how they ‘get things done’. The training focuses on identifying productive and unproductive processes and how to approach them with an eye for improvement. Presentation topics include developing action items for change, identifying effective tools that support moving forward during the change process. Participants will employ new techniques to work through industry-specific examples utilizing an improvement loop that is simple yet effective.
