Lance Parrish

  • Nicknamed the "Big Wheel"
  • 19 Year Big League Career (1977-1995)
  • Career batting average .252
  • 324 Career Home Runs
  • 1,070 Career RBI's
  • One of the best catchers offensively and defensively in his career
  • 8X All Star, World Series Champion, 3X Gold Glove Award, 6X Silver Slugger Award
  • Currently serves as the special assistant to the general manager of the Detroit Tigers.

Bill Tuscany
   

          

  • 1973 EMU graduate
  •  Retired (2018) EMU Associate Head Athletic Trainer
  • Spent 32 years serving generations of Eastern Michigan student-athletes, coaches and staff
  • Charter member of Athletic Training Chapter of the Eastern Michigan Alumni Association and served as preceptor in EMU's accredited athletic training curriculum
  • His tireless efforts supported Eastern Baseball throughout his tenure, and in addition, Tuscany worked hand-in-hand with 105 of EMU's all-time Mid-American Conference Championship teams.  He has also worked with scores of Olympians, National Champions, and All-Americans as a part of his sports medicine responsibilities.
